Meet Andrea
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), in the state of Pennsylvania, and I am board-certified as a National Certified Counselor (NCC) through the National Board of Certified Counselors (NBCC). I earned my Master’s of Science degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Shippensburg University in 2016. I am a long-standing member of the American Counseling Association and have obtained extensive post-graduate training and certifications in areas including but not limited to- grief and loss, couples and family therapy, anxiety, depression and trauma related disorders, and screen and internet addiction.
So, let’s begin…. here is a little bit about my story and what led me here. While I have over ten years of training and work experience- helping support clients in many common areas of struggle including anxiety, depression, ADD/ADHD, trauma and PTSD, my specialty areas of focus include:
Grief & Loss Counseling
When I was 43, I unexpectedly became a widow and my world was turned upside down. Suddenly, I was challenged with overwhelming grief while also trying to support and comfort our three young children. I had never experienced such a traumatic loss. I knew nothing about what to expect, nor did I understand the deep pain of all the secondary losses that come- loss of identity and future dreams, and those losses that are hard to describe with words as your foundation and safety crumble beneath you. I quickly learned the value of faith, community and the power of compassion and listening. This experience changed my professional course direction and I knew I wanted to help support others in their own struggles. Grief changes our perspective and it also helped me understand the importance of emotional and relational wellness.
Whether you've experienced the death of a loved one, the end of a relationship, infertility, miscarriage, a life transition, or another significant loss, grief is deeply personal and there is no "right" way to move through it.
I provide a safe place to process your experience at your own pace, honoring both your pain and your resilience. Together, we'll make space for your story while helping you find ways to carry your loss with greater hope, meaning, and peace.
Couples Counseling & Relational Conflict
During my professional education, training and work experience, I worked extensively with couples and families.
Healthy relationships require intention, communication, and trust—but even committed couples encounter seasons of disconnection. I help couples identify the patterns that keep them stuck and develop healthier ways of communicating, recover from betrayal and broken trust, learn healthy approaches to resolving conflict, and reconnecting emotionally.
I draw from my professional training and work experience in Emotionally Focused Therapy, Relational Life Therapy, and Internal Family Systems, to provide evidence based informed solutions, helping each partner feel heard while working toward lasting change.
Support for Women and Life Transitions
As a woman that has also experienced major life changes in addition to loss of a spouse, I understand how challenging this season of life can be. I offer compassionate support to women navigating the physical, emotional, and relational changes that can accompany menopause and other significant life transitions. This season of life can bring unexpected challenges- from changing identity and relationships, to emotional highs and lows that can undermine self-confidence and sense of purpose. You don’t have to walk this road alone. Together, we will process your unique experience and find new meaning in this season, helping you rediscover yourself and what matters most. We will explore healthy strategies to navigate change, helping you embrace this new chapter with greater confidence, grace and hope.
Can you relate? If so, then I am glad you are here and I would love to help support you. You can contact me at:
